Road Warrior: First Vacation

We didn't waste anytime getting you on the road.  In early October your Aunt Sara was marrying Uncle Joe in Charleston, South Carolina so off we went.  You were an easy travel buddy and really held it together during the long drive. It was our intent to stop and take pictures along the way, but why wake a sleeping baby in the mountains? Here are some pictures once we made it.

Your first day at the beach.  You loved the ocean, even though it was a bit chilly.  I can't wait until you can appreciate everything about the ocean.  You are a lucky baby to experience it.

We took a day to explore with you in town. We even recreated a picture that your dad and I took on our first vacation together which coincidentally happened to be Charleston, SC. I don't have our first one digitally, but here is all of us together.  Don't mind the bag lady.  For some reason she kept creeping in the photos.

While we were out on the town your aunts and uncles were busy back at the beach. Check out this amazing sand castle made just for you. It had details you can't see in this picture like crabs at the entrance, shells adorning your throne which had an "M" for you.
